Brandon plans for mobile app unveiled

Brandon, MB. – The Brandon Wheat Kings, in association with Frank’s Computer are pleased to announce plans to launch an official mobile application for Apple, Android and BlackBerry devices.

The free mobile app will be available later this week by searching ‘Wheat Kings’ in iTunes, Google Play or BlackBerry App World.

“Franks Computer / myITsource are proud local partners and are extremely excited about the new mobile app,” says Frank Arndt, President. “This application will allow Wheat King fans to stay in touch with their favorite team using technology that we sell and support locally in Brandon, which makes it a great fit for both organizations.

The official mobile app of the WHL’s Wheat Kings will feature real-time scoring data direct from wherever the Wheat Kings may be playing this upcoming season. Follow each and every game in real-time with complete boxscores, game summaries and up to the minute stats.

Other features include Push Notification alerts, the ability to purchase tickets online, breaking news and headlines, special events, access to Pointstreak 50/50 updates during all home games at Westman Place as well as up to date stats and standings from across the WHL.

As the 2013-14 season begins next month, more great features will be incorporated into the Wheat Kings App including game and scoring notifications, player tracking and much more including Fan Voting / Surveys, a Live radio link to 880 CKLQ’s play by play broadcasts with Bruce Luebke, Game Check-in at Westman Place as well as a link to the Wheat Kings’ online store.

The Wheat Kings mobile app was developed by Buzzer Apps, who have been building mobile apps for Canadian Hockey League teams for years. Buzzer Apps provides turnkey mobile solutions for businesses, venues, organizations, sports teams and leagues.
