Phantoms Partner With 21 WFMJ to Unveil New Jerseys Thursday at Canfield Fair

 YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Phantoms invite fans to the Canfield Fair this Thursday, Aug. 29 for the official unveiling of the team’s new uniforms for the 2013-14 season. This special event, which is sponsored by 21 WFMJ, will be held at the station’s tent near the Canfield Fair Grandstand and “WFMJ Today” morning anchor Mike Case will be hosting the festivities, which begin at 5 p.m. EST.

The event marks a new milestone for the Phantoms franchise, which is updating its jersey design for the first time since entering the United States Hockey League in 2009-10.

“I cannot think of a more fitting way to celebrate our fifth season in the USHL and begin of a chapter in our franchise’s history. We could not be more excited for our fans and the entire community,” Phantoms vice president and chief operating officer Brian Wojtowicz said. “We want to thank 21 WFMJ for their generous support and this unique opportunity.”

Fans can follow the Phantoms and WFMJ 21 on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for exclusive glimpses of the new jerseys leading up to full unveiling Thursday evening.

Additionally, the Phantoms season ticket holders who have purchased four or more tickets, or a club tickets for the 2013-14 season will be able to pick up their free jersey following the unveiling event, before the jerseys go on sale to the general public. Phantoms staff will be available in the 21 WFMJ tent from 5-7 p.m.
