General Manager Warren
Rychel announced today the club has signed undrafted forward Ryan Foss
to a standard OHL player's agreement and education package.
Foss earned his way onto
the club with outstanding play during this week's training camp; scoring
six goals in two days of scrimmages and last night's annual Blue-White
game.
“We're extremely pleased to
add Ryan to our lineup,” Rychel said. “He will have an immediate
impact. He's a player with very good size and hands. A very skilled
player. I give a lot of credit our scouting staff, for finding a player
like Ryan, who was passed over in the draft.”
The 17-year-old Foss is a
6'2 170-pound winger that had a monster season at Blythe Academy in
2012- 13, putting up 39 goals and adding 63 assists for 102 points in 68
games.
Foss will be in the lineup
on Saturday night, as we open our exhibition schedule against the
Plymouth Whalers in Livonia, Michigan.
