The Aud Unveils Game Day Beverage Pilot Project

Press Release

KITCHENER – The upcoming Kitchener Rangers hockey season will give patrons the ability to consume alcohol in their seats.  This is a great way to ensure you don’t miss the big play during the game!

“Based on successfully hosting events such as the 2008 Memorial Cup and several concerts where alcohol has been served and consumed in the seats – it was evident that this was the next logical step,“ said Paul Pickard, manager of The Aud and Community Arenas.

“By offering this service it will allow The Aud to manage consumption more effectively and reduce congestion in the concourses during intermission.  Anticipated shorter lines at the concessions will ensure more efficient service to all of our guests and Rangers fans. “

Staff will be closely monitoring this one year pilot while conducting post-game evaluations to ensure the success of this new program which will begin on September 1, 2013.  If you have any questions, please contact Paul Pickard at paul.pickard@kitchener.ca.
