THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced today its regular season schedule for the 2013-14 campaign.
All six SIJHL-member clubs will play a 56-game regular season slate, with 27 apiece at home and another 27 on the road.
They will also play two contests each during the league’s annual
Showcase Weekend, which goes Jan. 22-23, 2014 at the Ice House in
Spooner, Wis.
The SIJHL’s 13th year kicks off Friday. Sept. 20 on two fronts as the
Fort Frances Lakers host the Thunder Bay North Stars at Ice for Kids
Arena while the Dryden Ice Dogs entertain the first-year English River
Miners at Memorial Arena in a pair of 7:30 p.m. starts.
Game action for the league’s other two squads, the Wisconsin
Wilderness and Minnesota Iron Rangers, gets underway Sept. 21 as the
Wisconsin travels to Dryden while Minnesota is at home to Thunder Bay
Sept. 24.
Regular season play is schedule to conclude on March 11.
Of note, two games between the Wilderness and North Stars have yet to be finalized and will be announced once confirmed.
