Schmidt commits to Rangers

Press Release

Kitchener Rangers General Manager Murray Hiebert announced Saturday that defenceman Logan Schmidt has committed to the team and has entered into an Ontario Hockey League agreement. A native of Kitchener, Schmidt joins the Rangers after attending training camp as a free agent.

Logan is described by Rangers’ scouts as a smooth skater who demonstrates a high hockey IQ and whose high-end skill and good hands allow him to contribute on offense. He played 30 regular season games with the Kitchener Dutchmen in 2012-13, recording 10 points and added three assists in 13 playoff games.
