Press Release
Kitchener Rangers General Manager
Murray Hiebert announced Saturday that defenceman Logan Schmidt has
committed to the team and has entered into an Ontario Hockey League
agreement. A native of Kitchener, Schmidt joins the Rangers after
attending training camp as a free agent.
Logan is described by Rangers’ scouts as a smooth skater who demonstrates a high hockey IQ and whose high-end skill and good hands allow him to contribute on offense. He played 30 regular season games with the Kitchener Dutchmen in 2012-13, recording 10 points and added three assists in 13 playoff games.
