WHL Commissioner coming to Kelowna next Thursday for Q and A

Press Release

Kelowna Rockets season ticket holders are invited to a question and answer period with Western Hockey League Commissioner Ron Robison and Bruce Hamilton, the Kelowna Rockets President/GM and WHL Chairman of the Board on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at Manhattan Point Restaurant.

Seating will be open to the first 100 season ticket holders to RSVP to attend this unique opportunity to hear from Robison, the WHL Commissioner since the 2000/01 WHL season, as well as Hamilton, the WHL Board Chair since 2008.

It's the first time Robison will visit Kelowna for an open forum with Rockets fans and his visit to Kelowna stems from a discussion the WHL Commissioner had with a Rockets season ticket holder following last year's playoffs.

During the evening, Robison and Hamilton will touch on a wide variety of topics, from player and officiating development, scheduling and the future direction of the WHL. The discussion will be moderated by Kelowna
Rockets play by play announcer Regan Bartel and there will be an open mic for fans to ask questions.

"We're very excited to be able to bring the WHL Commissioner to Kelowna," said Gavin Hamilton, the Rockets VP of Business Development. "This is a great opportunity for our fans to hear about the WHL, the decisions that are made in the league and where we are heading in the future."

The discussion is set for Nov. 7 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. It is a free event and coffee and sweets will be served.
