Allain Saulnier, Alex Saulnier and Sean Couturier named TELUS three stars of the week

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, September 27, 2010 - Forwards Allain Saulnier, Alex Saulnier and Sean Couturier today were named the TELUS three stars of the week for the period extending from September 20 to 26.

Moncton Wildcats winger Allain Saulnier is the first star of the week after tallying two goals, including a game-winner, and seven assists in three Moncton victories. Moreover, he posted a +6 rating. Allain enjoyed his best outing of the week on Friday, collecting four points in a 7-5 win over the Drakkar in Baie-Comeau. He was named the game’s first star while also receiving the same honour the next day following a win over the Saguenéens.

Moncton Wildcats center Alex Saulnier receives the second star after recording three goals and three assists in three games. He also posted a +6 rating. He played his best game of the week on Friday, registering four points in a win over the Drakkar. He was also named the first star in a 5-3 victory over the Rimouski Océanic.

Drummondville Voltigeurs center Sea Couturier is the third star. The forward scored three goals and added three helpers in two games while posting a +7 rating. Furthermore, he won 73% (11/15) of his face-offs. Trailing by four goals early in the second period versus the Sea Dogs on Saturday, Couturier played an integral part in the Voltigeurs’ amazing 7-6 comeback shootout win, collecting three points.
