USHL Fall Classic Wrap Up – Day 4

Sioux Falls Stampede 3 vs. Indiana Ice 2
Power play goals by Christian Isackson and Matt Tabrum in the second period led the Sioux Falls to a victory in their final game of the Fall Classic.  Dominic Zombo also scored for the Stampede who held the Ice to just 12 shots on goal.  Cody Bradley and Dan Cesarz netted goals for Indiana.

Team USA 5 vs. Waterloo Black Hawks 4
Rocco Grimaldi scored two goals in the second period to lead Team USA to a victory in their Fall Classic finale.  Adam Reid scored for the second straight game for Team USA and Travis Boyd finished with two points.  Waterloo evened the game early in the third period with a pair of goals, including a shorthanded tally by Andrew Prochno, but Blake Pietila scored the game-winner with just over eight minutes to play in the contest.

Green Bay Gamblers 5 vs. Youngstown Phantoms 4
Youngstown built a 2-1 lead but the Gamblers scored four goals in the second period, including three in a span of 2:14 to capture the victory.  Forward Grant Arnold led the way for Green Bay with a pair of goals and Jozek Pontasch had a two-point game (1g, 1a).  Adam Berkle, Dylan Margonari, and Jiri Sekac all scored a goal for the second straight game for Youngstown.

Muskegon Lumberjacks 8 vs. Lincoln Stars 3
The Lumberjacks had an offensive outburst led by Matt Berry's four-point game (2g, 2a) and two goals by Lance Fredrickson.  Micki Mihailovich tallied three points (1g, 2a) and goaltender Paul Berrafato made 23 saves to earn the win for Muskegon.  Domink Shine and Matt Prapavessis each scored for Lincoln while Brent Tate had a two-point game (1g, 1a).  Brent Bain scored shorthanded for Muskegon.

Omaha Lancers 3 vs. Sioux City Musketeers 4 (SO)
Max McCormick scored in regulation and had the deciding goal in the shootout as the Musketeers won a thrilling final game of the 2010 Fall Classic.  Omaha took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Justin Crandall and Seth Ambroz.  It was until the third period theat the Musketeers found their offense, which included goals by Ryan Carpenter and Brandon Lubin.  The game was all even after 60 minutes and took seven rounds of a shootout to determine a winner.  Goaltender Matt Skoff made 14 saves in regulation and stopped six of seven in the shootout to earn the win.  Ambroz had the lone tally in the shootout for Omaha.  Caleb Herbert had two assists for Sioux City.
