MAJORS DEAL BILLINGSLEY TO NIAGARA

MISSISSAUGA, ON – The Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors have dealt defenceman Tim Billingsley to the Niagara IceDogs in exchange for a fourth round draft pick.

Billingsley, 20, is a native of Ottawa, ON and was born on January 17, 1990. He has spent his entire four year OHL career with the Majors. He played with the team at St. Mike’s Arena in Toronto during his rookie season and moved with the team to Mississauga for the 2007-08 season. Billingsley had a breakout season in 2007-08, scoring 5 goals and 22 assists for 27 points. He was drafted by the Pheonix Coyotes that summer but went unsigned and is currently an NHL free agent.
