San Jose Sharks Sign Curt Gogol

Saskatoon Blades player, Curt Gogol, has signed an entry-level deal with NHL team San Jose Sharks. The just turned 19-year-old from Calgary, AB had a chance to play in all three of the Sharks NHL Camp games in Penticton, B.C. in which he attained 18 penalty minutes.

San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager, Doug Wilson, made the following comment about the young forward, “Curt has made great progress as a player over the last two seasons. We are pleased to add him to our organization and look forward to working with him to further his development, which has excelled under Saskatoon General Manager and Head Coach Lorne Molleken.”

Lorne Molleken responded by saying, “Curt really deserves this opportunity, he has worked extremely hard and put forth a lot of effort to get to this point, reaching all of our expectations. We would like to congratulate him on signing the contract with San Jose and are very pleased to have Curt back in Saskatoon for another year.”

Gogol will return to practice with the Saskatoon Blades at the Credit Union Centre today. The Home Opener for the Blades is this Friday, September 24 at 7 pm.
