Windsor Acquires Andrew Clouthier from Kingston

(Windsor) Windsor Spitfires Vice-President and General Manager Warren Rychel today announced that the team has acquired overage left-winger Andrew Clouthier from the Kingston Frontenacs. Clouthier, a 20 year-old native of Pembroke, Ont. is listed at 6’4” and 220 pounds.

In exchange, the Spitfires have sent an eighth round selection in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection to the Frontenacs.

Last season, Clouthier played 23 games with the Kingston Frontenacs, scoring one goal and four points with 50 penalty minutes. He also played for the Barrie Colts from 2007 – 2009 and with the Saginaw Spirit from 2006-2007. In 203 career OHL games, Clouthier has 17 goals and 40 points while amassing 241 penalty minutes.

“Andrew brings good size, skill and toughness to our lineup and plays with a physical edge. He will be in the lineup for our home opening game this Thursday against the Plymouth Whalers and we look forward to having him in Windsor for the upcoming season,” said Rychel.
