Americans Extend Contract for Barclay Parneta Through 2015

Press Release

KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has extended the contract of Prospect Development Coach and Head Scout, Barclay Parneta, through the 2014-2015 season.

“Barclay has done a tremendous job for our organization,” explained Tory.  “I’m very proud to keep him as part of our team moving forward.”

Parneta, who joined Tri-City in August of 2010, is in the midst of his third season with the club.  Prior to joining the Americans, Parneta spent the previous seven seasons as an amateur scout in the National Hockey League, working five seasons with the St. Louis Blues before moving onto the Phoenix Coyotes.

“I’m excited that the ownership group has given me the opportunity to continue doing the job I’ve been asked to do,” expressed Parneta.  “It’s a credit to our strong scouting staff and the high standards set upon us by Bob (Tory) and the rest of the ownership group.  To date, this has been the best hockey experience of my life!”
