Quesnele joins Kingston Voyageurs

Press Release

The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club announced earlier today that DAVID QUESNELE has joined the Kingston Voyageurs of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

“Seeing David move on to play for Kingston Jr. A means that a Quesnele will not be on the Greyhound roster for the first time in 8 seasons. And although that may be sad, the relationship built between the Greyhounds and the Quesnele's is truly something special that will last far beyond the test of time. That relationship is what major junior hockey is all about” began Hounds GM Kyle Dubas.

Quesnele, a Sault Ste. Marie, ON product joined the Hounds in September 2010.  In two seasons, David played in 126 games accumulating 20 goals and 20 assists.

"The Quesnele family has been a huge part of Soo Greyhounds Hockey since Michael first suited up for the club 8 years ago. Once Michael graduated and went on to use his OHL Education Package and begin attending Lakehead University, David joined the club and carried on the tradition of hard work, and character that defines the Quesnele Family” continued Dubas.

“Steve and Anna Quesnele are model hockey parents - very supportive of their boys while also extremely supportive of the process and practices of the entire team.”

In Kingston, Quesnele will play on a club featuring other Sooites Josh Hicks, Brian Nanne and Michael Schug.

“On behalf of the entire Greyhound organization, I would like to thank the entire Quesnele family for their service and contributions to our hockey program. They will be truly missed as teammates, but always remain great friends of our organization” concluded Dubas.
