Newark, NJ - The New Jersey Rockets are pleased to announce that Junior B forwards Jeremy Bracco (’97 birth year/Freeport, NY) and Nolan Aibel (’97 birth year/Brookville, NY) have both announced a commitment to play Division I hockey in the ECAC.
Bracco will suit up to play for
the Crimson of Harvard University and Head Coach Ted Donato, while his
linemate, announced his commitment to Head Coach Keith Allain and the
Yale Bulldogs. Bracco’s commitment to Harvard is the first Rocket to
commit to Harvard since former Crimson team captain Michael Del Mauro (’87 birth year/Watchung, NJ). Aibel becomes the second Rocket in as many years to commit to the Yale Bulldogs as forward Ryan Hitchcock (’96 birth year/Manhasset, NY/NTDP) announced his commitment to the program last season.
The commitments of Bracco and
Aibel continued the trend of commitments for first year New Jersey
Rockets. Including these announcements, the Rockets have now announced
commitments to the NTDP, Harvard, Yale, Penn State, Northeastern
and Notre Dame for first year Rockets over the last three seasons.
“Division one programs are starting to turn to the Rockets for talent,”
commented New Jersey Rockets Head Coach and Director of Player
Development Bob Thornton. “The Rockets are
continuing to produce high end talent and not only are our players
heading to great hockey programs, they are heading to top academic
schools as well, that will prepare them well for the next phase of
their life.”
