DRYDEN, Ont. – The Dryden Ice Dogs have announced they have
acquired the Hockey Canada playing rights to 20-year-old Paul Thompson
from the Truro Bearcats of the Maritime Hockey league.
The 5’11”, 190-pound right-handed forward is expected to add more depth to the Ice Dogs forward corps.
Last season the Woodstock, Ont., native saw action in 48 games where
he scored nine goals and chipped in with 16 assists for 25 points. He
also amassed 78 penalty minutes.
Thompson is expected to be in the line-up Saturday when Dryden hosts
the Thunder Bay North Stars in a 7:30 p.m. start at Memorial Arena.
