Zachary Fucale, the Halifax
Mooseheads goaltender went down in QMJHL history as the first goalie to
have 100 wins in under 150 games on Tuesday, making it a total of 100
wins in 145 games.
The record was previously held by Jacques Cloutier who achieved 100 wins during his 150th game, 35 years ago on January 6, 1979. The following season, Cloutier brought his total to 142 wins during the regular season, a feat that no other goaltender has ever been able to equal or surpass in the League. In 45 QMJHL seasons, a total of 7 goalies, including Fucale, have been able to reach 100 wins, the most recent one being Olivier Roy (BAT & CAP – 2007-2011).
