BOUCHERVILLE, Monday January 6, 2014 - Louis-Philip Guindon, Jonathan
Drouin and Justin Haché were named today the TELUS three stars of the
week for January 13 to 19, 2014.
The first star of the week is the Drummondville Voltigeurs' goaltender, Louis-Philip Guindon.
In 3 games, he recorded 2 wins, maintaining an average of 0.43 and a
save percentage of .985. In the 2 games where he was a starter, he got a
shutout and was named first star of the game in both cases. Friday
against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, Guindon managed 33 saves in a 2-0
win. Sunday, in a 3-0 win against the Moncton Wildcats, he made 22 saves
in a game where his team was shorthanded 9 times.
Jonathan Drouin,
the Halifax Mooseheads forward is the second star of the week. In his
team’s 3 wins, Drouin collected 10 points, 9 of which were assists, had a
+/- of +6 and won 65.1% of his face-offs. Saturday against the Rimouski
Oceanic, Drouin got 4 assists in a 8-1 win. Sunday, he collected 4
points again (1 goal and 3 assists) in a 9-1 win against the
Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
Defensemen, Justin Haché,
of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, is the third star of the week. In 2
games, Haché had 7 assists, with a +/- of +4. His opponents did not
score any goals while he was on the ice. Friday in a 8-4 win against the
Moncton Wildcats, Haché got a career-high of 4 assists in one game. In
44 games this season, he has 40 points.
