Team USA forward picks Michigan State

Press Release

Team USA forward Dylan Pavelek has committed to play collegiate hockey at Michigan State University following his USHL career.

Pavelek has put up nine points (6g, 3a) and posted a plus-seven rating over 16 USHL games this season for Team USA’s Under-18 squad.  Three of his six goals have been game-winners, tying for the team lead.  His first USHL career goal was the game-winner in the 9-3 victory over the Youngstown Phantoms on September 20th and his most recent goal was the game-winner in Saturday’s 7-0 victory against the Muskegon Lumberjacks.  The recently turned 18-year-old has recorded an even-or-better plus/minus rating in all 16 USHL games he has played this season.  The native of Marysville, Michigan first played in the USHL last season for Team USA’s Under-17 squad and dished out three assists over nine games.

Pavelek is joined by Team USA goaltender Ed Minney who is also committed to Michigan State University.  Two other current USHL players will play hockey at the school – Indiana Ice defenseman Joshua Jacobs and Tri-City Storm forward Cody Milan.
