California 18U forward Pelone signs NAHL tender

Press Release

The California Titans of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) are pleased to announce that 18U forward Corey Pelone has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Springfield Jr. Blues. The Jr. Blues compete in the NAHL’s North Division.

Pelone, 18, just completed his third NAPHL season with the Titans. In 24 regular season games this season, the native of Simi Valley, California had 18 points, which ranked 4th in team scoring. Pelone (5’9/165) also tied for the team lead in game-winning goals with three.

Pelone’s best stretch of hockey came in October and November this past season when he rattled off a seven-game point streak. He also played well in the recent NAPHL Championship Series as the #8-seeded Titans made it all the way to the 18U Semi-Finals in the Gold Division. Pelone scored twice in the four games.

In 46 career NAPHL regular season games with the Titans the past two seasos, Pelone has 24 career points.

Pelone is the second player for the Titans 18U team to sign an NAHL tender this season joining defenseman Austin Wilk (Austin Bruins).
