Stars forward commits to Canisius College

 Lincoln Stars forward David Parrattino has committed to play collegiate hockey at Canisius College following his USHL career.

Parrattino has recorded 17 points (5g, 12a) in 36 games this season for the Stars.  He has registered multi-point games on three occasions this season, including in consecutive games in January, scoring two points (1g, 1a) in a 4-1 victory over Sioux Falls on January 7th and two assists in the 5-4 win over Fargo on January 10th.  He made his USHL debut last season with the Stars, appearing in seven games.  He scored a goal in his first USHL game on November 9th, 2012 during a 5-0 victory over Cedar Rapids.  Parrattino will celebrate his 20th birthday next week.

The Rochester Hills, Michigan native spent most of last season playing in the NAHL after playing youth hockey for the Honeybaked AAA organization.

Parrattino is joined by Stars teammate Zack Pittman who is also committed to Canisius College.  The school is part of the Atlantic Hockey Association and has four USHL alumni on the Golden Griffins roster; Kyle Gibbons (Lincoln Stars), Chris Rumble (Sioux Falls Stampede), Keegan Asmundson (Fargo Force/Des Moines Buccaneers), and Duncan McKellar (Tri-City Storm/Lincoln Stars).
