Capitols announce radio partnership with The Zone

Press Release

Madison, WI – The Madison Capitols announced Wednesday that they reached an agreement with Midwest Family Broadcasting and 106.7 FM, The Zone, on a broadcast deal for the 2014-15 season.

The Zone, which also has an AM stream (1670), will be the home for all Capitols game broadcasts in the 2014-15 season, as well as other related Capitols programming. Ryan Smith will serve as the Capitols broadcaster in the inaugural year.

“When we heard the Capitols were coming, we knew that we wanted to have them,” said WOZN operations manager Randy Hawke. “(Hockey) is an important element to the station, and we knew it would be a perfect fit.”

“We are extremely excited to be partners with The Zone,” said Capitols President Ed Chamberlain. “This is a great opportunity for both our fans and our partners to follow the team during the season.”
