Vanderbeck commits to Colorado College

Press Release

The Colorado Rampage are pleased to announce that Forward  AJ Vanderbeck has committed to play hockey at Colorado College following his midget and junior career.

In 47 games Vanderbeck has scored a whopping 56 goals and 31 assists for 87 points on the season.  He leads all scorers in the U16 Tier One Elite Hockey League and all scorers at the U16 level in the state of Colorado.

The Monument, Colorado native and Lewis Palmer high school student in District 38 has played for years at multiple levels and age groups with the Colorado Rampage.

AJ Vanderbeck is the first Colorado Rampage alumni to commit to Colorado College in the history of the organization.  He  joins the five former players at Air Force Academy and the three at Denver University as Rampage alumni playing Division I hockey in the state of Colorado.  "Playing for Coach Bingham  and the guidance of Coach Sherman has really helped take my career to another level.  I am very grateful for the opportunity to be a Rampage player." said Vanderbeck. “It’s a dream come true to get to play at such a great school and hockey program as Colorado College.  I couldn’t have done it without the help of my teammates and most importantly the support of my parents.”

"Committing to Colorado College really allows AJ to continue to focus on his overall development,  the playoffs this season and the upcoming USHL draft with a keen eye on  his NHL draft year in 2016" said Program director Sherman.

"We couldn't be happier for AJ.  The kind of work he put in last off-season, he literally sweated it out every day in our weight room for the entire spring and summer. He's a great example for all players to follow with his work ethic, commitment and drive to be the best that he can be" said Sherman.
