Omaha 16U forward Allison makes NCAA DI commitment

The Omaha AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that 16U forward Wade Allison has committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey at Western Michigan University starting in the fall of 2016.

Western Michigan is a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).

Allison  is a native of Mirtle, Manitoba and is in his first season with the Omaha AAA Hockey Club. So far this year, the 6'1 200lbs Allison has amassed an impressive 62 goals and 71 assists for 131 points in 68 games overall for the Omaha AAA 16U team that is ranked #2 in the country.

In NAPHL league play, the 16-year-old has 19 goals and 9 assists for 28 points in 15 games for the Omaha team which went 19-0-1 in the regular season, finishing in 1st place and winning the 16U regular season crown.

Allison was second on the team in playoff scoring with nine points in five games as Omaha advanced to the NAPHL Championship game for the second straight season.

Allison now becomes the fourth member of this years 16U team in Omaha to receive an NCAA Division 1 Hockey Scholarship joining Tarek Baker (Minnesota) , August von Ungern-Sternberg (Brown) and Matt Pulver (Air Force).
