Gannon earns second POW of season with six points in two Caps wins

owichan Valley Capitals forward Devin Gannon has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 26, the league announced on Monday.

Gannon led the Caps to wins over the Vernon Vipers and Langley Rivermen and picked up six points in the process. The Kamloops native began the week with two goals, including the game-winner, and two assists against the Vipers and notched two assists against Langley.

The 6-foot, 190-pounder leads the Caps and is now eighth in BCHL scoring with 26 goals and 47 assists on the season.

Honourable mentions this week go to Prince George Spruce Kings defenceman Chase Golightly (two goals, one assist, 3rd Star), Penticton Vees forward Joey Benik (one GWG, four assists, 1st Star), Surrey Eagles forward Robert Lindores (two goals, two assists), Cowichan Valley Capitals forward Matt Brown (three goals, three assists, 1st Star) and Cowichan Valley Capitals forward Brett Knowles (three goals, GWG, two assists, two 2nd Stars).
