Tanner Jago of the Winkler Flyers was presented today with the Vince Leah Trophy, awarded to the MJHL’s Top Rookie. MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis made the presentation prior to the Flyers-Winnipeg Saints’ game.
Jago, who hails from Brandon, has enjoyed an outstanding season along the Flyers’ blueline. In addition to solid defensive play, Jago has contributed offensively ─ 44 points (12-32) in 53 games.
Runners-up for the award were Corey Petrash of the Winnipeg Saints and Justin Valentino of Swan Valley Stampeders.
