USHL announces suspensions for Stampede

Press Release

Sioux Falls, SD—The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced this afternoon that defenseman Joseph Lordo and goaltender Jay Williams have been suspended two games while forwards Kyle Rankin and Justin Selman have been suspended one game for their actions in Saturday’s game against Sioux City.

All four players were involved in a line brawl that occurred during the second period of Saturday’s game at the Sioux Falls Arena. Lordo and Williams will miss both games this weekend, Friday at Tri-City and Saturday vs Omaha. Rankin and Selman will miss Friday’s game against the Storm.

The Stampede have the option to appeal the suspensions, but no decision has been made yet by team officials.
