Cyclones, Rangers victorious at Fall Classic

Press Release The Northern Cyclones and Boston Jr. Rangers skated to victories on Wednesday on the second and final day of Atlantic Junior Hockey League (AJHL) exhibition games held in conjunction with the United States Hockey League (USHL) Fall Classic in Sioux City, Iowa. The Cyclones bested the Bobcats, 1-0, in a shootout, while the Jr. Rangers edged the Express, 2-1. On the first day of exhibitions on Tuesday, the Bobcats defeated the Jr. Rangers, 5-3, and the Express downed the Cyclones, 3-1. The Jr. Rangers (formerly the Bulldogs), Bobcats, Cyclones and Express were the four semifinalists in the AJHL playoffs last season. Considered one of the more high-profile junior showcases in North America, the USHL Fall Classic, will be held from Sept. 19-22, traditionally attracts hundreds of collegiate and professional coaches and scouts.
