RED DEER, AB – Brent Sutter, Owner/President/General Manager of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today that two players have been reassigned.
Players to be reassigned:

Dexter Bricker F Saskatoon, SK 1995
Vukie Mpofu F Saskatoon, SK 1996
Bricker will join the Nipawin Hawks of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, and Mpofu will join the Saskatoon Contacts of the Saskatchewan AAA Midget Hockey League.
The Rebels have also added 18-year old forward Ryley Bennefield on a try-out basis. Bennefield was recently with the Calgary Hitmen, playing in 3 pre-season games scoring 2 goals. He has played 9 Western Hockey League regular season games over the last 3 seasons, 3 with Lethbridge and 6 with Portland. Bennefield was a second round selection of the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft and is from Wetaskiwin, AB.
With these moves, the Rebels currently have 25 players on their roster.
