Rockets Acquire Young Goalie

The Kelowna Rockets have acquired 1995 born goaltender Jackson Whistle from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a third round bantam draft pick in 2014..

A Kelowna native, Whistle will join the Rockets in Maple Ridge tonight and will backup Rockets starter Jordon Cooke as the Rockets take on Victoria.

The Rockets have also re-assigned goaltender Cameron Barnes to Canmore in the AJHL.

Whistle, a 6-foot-1, 180 pound netminder, played in 21 games last season with the Giants.

The Rockets play Victoria twice this weekend, hosing the Royals Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna after meeting them tonight in Maple Ridge.
