Christophe Lalonde named captain of the Moncton Wildcats

Press Release

Moncton NB - The Moncton Wildcats announce that 19 year old Christophe Lalonde will be the new Captain starting tonight as the Wildcats take on the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in Sydney at 7:00 PM at Center 200.

Chris was taken as a 17 year old in the dispersal draft by Moncton when the Lewiston Maineiacs dissolved in June of 2011.

Head Coach for the Moncton Wildcats, Darren Rumble, said, “I have known Chris since his 16 year old year when I coached him, he was a high pick that year by the Maineiacs since then he has grown into a mature young man who has a spirited approach to the game. Chris’s hard work and determination makes him the kind of player I want our young guys to emulate themselves after.  We are looking forward to having Chris as our Captain”.
