Press Release

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs are pleased to announce forward Stephen Anderson continues to recover at the Saint John Regional Hospital from upper-body injuries suffered in the Sunday, January 5th, game against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

The 19-year-old right winger has been in hospital since Sunday evening, following a body check that forced him to leave the game and subsequent complications.

In the last 36 hours, the Morell, P.E.I., native has been interacting through conversation with family, and has been making steady progress in his activities.

It is not clear when he will be released from hospital.

"Stephen and his family would like to express heartfelt thanks for the many emails, texts and phone calls they have received during this time," said Nancy Anderson, Stephen's mother. "The Andersons sincerely thank the Sea Dogs for their overwhelming support."

The Sea Dogs will provide updates on his condition when they are available.
