Fargo Defenseman Wade Commits to Notre Dame

Press Release

The Fargo Force announced that defenseman Justin Wade has committed to play collegiate hockey at the University of Notre Dame following his USHL career.

Wade got his first taste of the USHL playing as a 16-year-old during the 2010-11 season and appearing in 35 games for the Fargo Force. The Aurora, Illinois native collected one assist and 49 penalty minutes.

The 6-2, 210-pound defenseman gained some international experience as he was part of the U.S. Under-18 Select Team that competed in the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament this summer. Wade has captured the attention of the NHL as he was among NHL Central Scouting’s preliminary list of USHL players to watch this season in advance of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

The University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish are a member of the CCHA and advance to the 2011 NCAA Frozen Four with a team that included 18 USHL alumni, the most former USHL players of any team in the CCHA.
