HITMEN'S ROACH SIGNS WITH NHL'S KINGS

Calgary, AB – The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club would like to congratulate defenceman Alex Roach on signing a three year entry level contract with the Los Angeles Kings.

Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced both the signing and the return of Roach to the Hitmen today.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Roach, a 6’4” 220lbs. defenceman from Quesnel, BC was a free agent invite to Kings training camp.

He returns to the Hitmen to enter his second season in the Western Hockey League after collecting 16 points (4g 12a) and 77 penalty minutes in 61 regular season games last season.

Roach and the Hitmen will take to the practice ice tomorrow to prepare for Friday’s trip to Lethbridge to face the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The Adrenalin Source for Sports home opener goes Sunday at 2pm when the Hitmen face the Kootenay Ice at Scotiabank Saddledome.
