Vees Trade Rush For Yeo

The Kingston KIMCO Voyageurs have announced a trade with the Huntsville Otters, acquiring 6-1 Centreman Graham Yeo in exchange for towering defenseman Cooper Rush.

the 19 year old Yeo, is a 1992 birth year player and has spent the last two seasons in Hunstville, compiling 19 goals and 54 points in 96 games. 14 goals and 25 assists last season in 50 games and 5 goals and 15 points in his rookie season two years ago.

Yeo had a goal and assist in four games for the Otters, the host team at this past year's Dudley Hewitt Cup.

"Graham is being brought in here to compliment some of our skilled forwards. He was an important piece in Huntsville's Dudley Hewitt Cup team last year and someone we identified a long time ago as a player we wanted," said Head Coach Colin Birkas.

"This is a deal our GM Denis Duchesne worked on extremely hard to get done," said Birkas.

The Bracebridge, Ontario native is trying to be in Kingston and in the lineup for tonight's contest against the Wellington Dukes.

Rush, is a a six foot seven inch defenseman who had been getting tons of interest from NCAA programs and has recently returned from the Canada East evaluation camp in Ottawa.

"We want to thank Cooper Rush for his service here the last year and wish him all the best in his hockey career," said General Manager Denis Duchesne.
