USHL and FASTHockey Team Up for Broadcasts

The United States Hockey League and FASTHockey, the worldwide leader in amateur hockey broadcasting, have partnered to provide the exclusive online broadcast of the entire 2011-12 USHL regular season and post-season. Subscribers to the FASTHockey service will be able to view USHL games season either live or on-demand.

“FASTHockey has taken the lead as the broadband broadcaster of choice for hockey fans at the junior and college level,” said USHL President and Commissioner Skip Prince. “We look to them as both a great network and a marketing partner to deliver USHL programming to our growing fan base."

Broadcast of USHL games begin this Wednesday, September 21st at the USHL Fall Classic in Sioux City, Iowa, the League’s traditional season-opening event and the most highly scouted junior hockey event in the world. All 24 games of the four-day Classic will be available online. All 480 regular season games for the sixteen-team USHL will be available as well, starting on opening night on Friday, September 30th. In addition, every game during the 2012 USHL Clark Cup Playoffs will be available on FASTHockey.

As amateur hockey’s webcast partner, FASTHockey has delivered nearly 50,000 live games and over 120,000 hours of on-demand content since its launch. USHL fans now join a worldwide community of hockey fans who are able to purchase any game, live or on-demand, using FASTHockey’s unique “Game Credit” system. Users can buy as little as one Game Credit or as many as 50 at one time and achieve discounts for buying in bulk. Additionally, fans can share their tokens through a unique gifting system that allows them to invite others to watch a game.

Founded in 2004 by Marc Ruskin, FASTHockey maintains offices at its corporate headquarters in Boston as well as its operations center in Detroit and other facilities in Cleveland and Vancouver. The company will soon open an office in Amsterdam, Netherlands to support European operations.
