Fargo Force Release Official 2011-12 Team Roster

Press Release

The Fargo Force coaching staff had some tough decisions to make following the 2011 USHL Fall Classic this past weekend. The roster, which sat at 28 players, had to be cut down to just 23 to start the season. Fargo released defensemen Oliver Widding-Persson and Zach Urban and forwards Max McHugh and Zach Pochiro from the team Friday and sent them to other leagues to play for the 2011-12 season.

Defenseman Oliver Widding-Persson was sent to Aberdeen, SD where he will suit up for the Wings in the National American Hockey League (NAHL). In two Fall Classic games, Widding-Persson was charged with one minor penalty and credited with one shot on goal. The second defenseman released, Zach Urban, will head back to his previous team, the Penticton Vees, in the British Columbia Hockey League. He played in just one game in the Fall Classic and did not record a point.

Forward Max McHugh will also rejoin his previous team in the NAHL, the Wenatchee Wild, where he scored 18 points in 20 regular season games last season. Las Vegas native Zach Pochiro, forward, will play with the Wichita Falls Wildcats who drafted him 51st overall in the 2011 NAHL Entry Draft.
Forward Neal Goff was added to Fargo’s affiliate list. This means that he is still eligible to practice with the team and can play up to 10 games during the 2011-12 season and will not be counted against the 23-man roster.
