Raiders Acquire Desautels, Morden From Silvertips

Prince Albert SK – The Prince Albert Raiders have acquired 18-year-old goaltender Andy Desautels and 19-year-old defenseman Evan Morden from the Everett Silvertips in exchange for 19-year-old goaltender Cole Holowenko.

Desautels, a native of White City, Saskatchewan, spent the past season with the Flin Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, posting a 3.64 goals against average and a .899 save percentage over 25 games. The 6’3”, 185-pound net minder appeared in three games for the Silvertips in the 2012 Western Hockey League pre-season, recording a 3.59 goals against average and .885 save percentage.

Morden is entering his third year in the WHL, having posted 4 goals, 9 assists and 92 penalty minutes in 114 games during his previous 2 seasons with Everett. The 6’2”, 215-pound defenceman from Swan River, Manitoba recorded 2 assists in 3 games with the ‘Tips in pre-season action this year.
