EHL Players of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Eastern Hockey League has announced its Players of the Week for the time period Jan. 4-12, 2013.  Left to Right: Danny McMullan, Ryan Palmer, Hector Majul.

DEFENSIVE:  Danny McMullan, Connecticut Oilers
The 1994 birth-year defenseman from Ridgedale, Conn., played a pivotal defensive role for the Oilers as they claimed a two-game road sweep over Wilkes-Barre, giving up only two goals on the weekend.  McMullan also chipped in offensively with a pair of assists in each game.

GOALTENDER:  Billy Palmer, Boston Bandits
The 1995 birth-year goalie from Cranston, R.I., led the Bandits to a pair of wins over the Boston Jr. Rangers this week by kicking away 95.6% of the shots he faced over the two games.  The Bandits claimed 2-1 and 4-2 victories while Palmer upped his season record to 8-2-3-1.

OFFENSIVE:  Hector Majul, Philadelphia Little Flyers
The 1994 birth-year forward from Mexico City, Mexico, returned from his holiday break with a torrid scoring pace of 11 points during four straight Little Flyers victories.  He had three assists (including game-winner) on Jan. 4 game at Washington; Put up 3-1-4 toals Jan. 5 against Washington; Scored twice, including game-winner Jan. 11 over Revolution; Tallied twice more Jan. 12 over Junior Flyers.
