Dalton Thrower assigned to the Giants

Press Release

The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that they have assigned defenceman Dalton Thrower to the Vancouver Giants.

Thrower, who was drafted 51st overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2012 National Hockey League Draft, was acquired by the Giants in the off-season from the Saskatoon Blades.

The North Vancouver native played 54 games for the Blades last season where he tallied 27 points (6 goals, 21 assists) and 89 penalty minutes.

"We are extremely excited to add a player of Dalton's calibre to our group. He’s got a wealth of experience playing in events like the Memorial Cup and Top Prospects," said Giants' Executive Vice President and General Manager Scott Bonner. "Being a high NHL draft choice who’s coming back from professional hockey will really boost our team both on and off the ice. His leadership will help change our culture back to where it needs to be."
