Kings forward Keats runs up points total and takes BCHL POW nod

Powell River Kings forward Kurt Keats has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 22, the league announced Tuesday.

Keats helped the Kings to a pair of wins on home ice and rang up two goals and five assists in the process. The Winnipeg native began with a goal and four helpers to take 1st Star and the FortisBC Energy Player of the Game in a 6-4 win over the Nanaimo Clippers. He followed that with a goal and an assist, 2nd Star and another FortisBC Energy Player of the Game nod in a 4-0 win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.
