Stampede acquire Clark Cup champion goalie Arthur Brey

Press Release

Sioux Falls, SD—The Sioux Falls Stampede added a veteran goaltender with an impressive resume to their roster on Monday. The club announced they acquired former Clark Cup champion Arthur Brey (BRY) off waivers. He is expected to join the team today and will be eligible to play this weekend.

The 6-foot, 150-pound netminder led the Dubuque Fighting Saints to the Clark Cup championship last year. He appeared in 38 games, going 24-6-4 with a 2.22 goals-against average (GAA) and a .904 save percentage. He was twice named the USHL’s Reebok Goaltender of the Week, claiming the honor in both November and February. His success carried over into the playoffs where he went 9-1-0 with a 1.65 goals against average and a .935 save percentage while helping guide the Saints to a Clark Cup title.

Brey traveled with the Fighting Saints to Russia for the 2013 Junior Club World Cup in August, appearing in three games and gaining the win against Belarus in the Bronze Medal Game. The Yorba Linda, CA native also appeared in three pre-season games with the Saints, going 1-0-0 with a 4.28 goals-against average and a .821 save percentage.
