The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League is holding a game for 40 players born in 1999.
This game will be held in Warman Saskatchewan on Sunday September
29th 2013, game time is 2:00p.m. Admission to the game is free.
The 99 game is held in conjunction with the SJHL Showcase which will
be held in Warman on Monday September 30th and Tuesday October 1st.
“President of the SJHL, Bill Chow states that the 99 game came about
from suggestions of the coaches of the SJHL teams. They brought the idea
to the AGM and made a presentation to the Governors which the Governors
approved.”
The game is strictly an “invite only”, the coaches utilized their
contacts throughout Saskatchewan to develop the list of 40 players born
in 1999. The parents of the players were contacted by the coaches and
verified their attendance with an invite letter from the League.
The concept of the game is to introduce players to the Saskatchewan
Junior Hockey League and that the SJHL will provide them with the
opportunity to pursue their hockey goals of which direction is of their
choice.
