Rebels acquire Dixon from Royals

RED DEER, AB – Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today the acquisition of 18-year old defenceman Kolton Dixon from the Victoria Royals in exchange for a conditional draft pick in the Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

Dixon is entering his second year in the WHL.  He played 39 games in Victoria last season, picking up 2 assists.  Dixon also played 13 games with Okotoks in the Alberta Junior Hockey League in 2012-13.  In 2011-12, Dixon was part of the Red Deer Optimist Chiefs Telus Cup National Championship.
