Press Release
The Johnstown Tomahawks have acquired forward Omar Mullan from the Amarillo Bulls in exchange for forward Cody Gylling.
Mullan comes to the
Tomahawks after spending last season in Amarillo, where he scored 15
goals and 27 assists in 55 games. His +43 was third in the league behind
fellow teammates John Rey and Mike Davis. He was part of the Bulls
2012-13 Robertson Cup championship team and had previously won a
national championship with the Belle Tire U-18 Team. This season, Mullan
has a goal and an assist in the four games at the 2013 NAHL Showcase.
“Omar brings a tremendous amount of leadership to our young team and is a
very team-oriented guy who sticks up for his teammates. He is a very
physical, tough forward with a nice scoring touch,” said Tomahawks head
coach Jason Spence.
In return for Mullan, the
Tomahawks trade Cody Gylling. Gylling appeared in 57 games, racking up
16 goals and 29 assists. In five games for the Tomahawks this season,
Gylling had a goal and assist, picking up both against Aberdeen at the
showcase.
