Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that 2014 NHL Draft prospect Michael Dal Colle of the Oshawa Generals is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending September 22 after collecting seven points in two games including four goals and three assists.

Dal Colle, who wins the first weekly award of the 2013-14 season, was the OHL’s top scorer on opening weekend and led the Generals to a pair of road victories.  He scored twice and added two assists last Thursday as first star of a 4-3 win over the Windsor Spitfires, then claimed first star honours on Friday night scoring another two goals with one assist as part of a 5-4 win over the Sarnia Sting.

Also considered for the award this week was defenceman Alexis Vanier of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar who picked up two goals and four assists for six points in two games, and rookie defenceman Julius Honka of the Swift Current Broncos who also recorded six points in two games but with one goal and five assists
